Year 6

Towards the end of Term 2, our Year 6 students explored the art of persuasive writing. They learnt how to structure persuasive texts effectively, developed strong arguments and use persuasive techniques such as emotive language, rhetorical questions and supporting evidence to strengthen their ideas.

 

To apply these skills in a meaningful way, students wrote persuasive letters to Mr Kent, encouraging him to make a positive change at MEPS. They presented a range of thoughtful, creative and well-supported proposals, giving Mr Kent plenty of excellent ideas to consider!
