M.C.S.C Toastie Train

Thank You for Your Support
Our school community has truly blown us away with its generosity!
As we prepare for our Toastie Train in support of the Mornington Community Support Centre taking place on Monday 10 August, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every parent, family and staff member who has donated ingredients to help our Year 5 and 6 students prepare toasted sandwiches for the Mornington Community Support Centre.
The response has been nothing short of incredible. Thanks to your kindness, our students will be able to make a significant number of toasties for members of our local community who are doing it tough this winter (stay tuned for the final total!)
A very special shout out goes to our amazing Year 6 families, who organised a wonderful group donation and to one incredibly generous parent who made a special trip to Costco to purchase a huge amount of supplies for us. Your efforts and generosity have made an enormous difference.
We would also like to sincerely thank the families from every year level across our school who have pledged to contribute. Whether you donate a single packet of cheese, ham or a loaf of bread, every contribution helps bring this initiative to life. Your generosity showcases exactly what makes our school community so special - people who are willing to step up and help others without expecting anything in return.
Perhaps even more importantly, you are modelling to our students the power (and joy) of selfless acts of kindness. By giving so generously, you are showing our children that strong communities are built when people look out for one another, lend a helping hand and work together to make it a better place.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Bakers Delight Mt Eliza for their outstanding support. Their generous donation of a large number of loaves of bread has been instrumental in making this initiative possible. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing generosity and community spirit.
A special thank you also goes to both Woolworths Mornington and Mt Eliza for their donation of vouchers to help purchase additional ingredients. Community support like this helps make initiatives such as the Toastie Train possible and we are sincerely grateful.
A Reminder for Donated Ingredients
If you have pledged to donate ingredients, please deliver them directly to the BER Kitchen on Monday 10 August between 8:15 am and 8:45 am just in time for the toastie-making to begin.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for embracing this initiative so wholeheartedly. Together, we are not only providing a warm meal for those who need it most but also teaching our students one of life's most important lessons - that even the simplest act of kindness can make a meaningful difference.
Mrs Humphreys
