On Thursday 2 April, Grade 3 & 4 students headed to Bluefit Swimming to compete in the House Carnival. This event gave students -- who had just completed 7 days of intensive swimming -- the chance to showcase their swimming in a fun environment.
The event began with the backstroke and then a fun noodle race where students used noodles to help them to the end of the 25m pool. Next up was the breast stroke and then the kick board race, which was a great leg burner and saw some close finishes. Finally, the blue-ribbon event: 25m freestyle! The competitive races and kept Ms. Kissane on her toes at the finish line.
Thank you to all the Grade 3 & 4 teachers, support staff, and parents who volunteered their time on the day. Also a massive shout out to the house captains Emilia, Hudson, Ella, Clem, Isabella, Luke and Alaric, and our swimming captain Meika for their work before, during, and after the event.
The results were so close!
The points from this carnival will be added to the 5/6 swimming carnival results later this term to determine the overall house swimming champions.
