Hello!

A heartfelt thank you to all members of our school and parish community who kept our wonderful Year 3 students in your prayers as they celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation last week. It was a special and meaningful moment in their faith journey, and your support and prayers helped guide and encourage them as they took this important step.

Religious Educaiton in the Classroom

It was lovely to see the Year 5's making connections to their own lives through a religious lense. They have been exploring the Church’s understanding of human dignity and what it means to be made in the image of God. Students reflected on the question: If I am made in the image of God, what should I reflect in my thoughts, words and actions? Their thinking showed a beautiful understanding of kindness, respect, love, and care for others in everyday life.

A Prayer for Mother's Day

We wish everyone a wonderful Mother's Day! Feel free to share this prayer as a family or in a moment of quiet.

Dear God,

Thank you for the mothers, grandmothers, carers, and special women in our lives who love, guide, and care for us each day. Bless them with happiness, strength, and peace, and help us to always show them kindness and gratitude.

We also keep in our prayers those who may find Mother’s Day difficult, especially those missing someone special in their lives. May they feel comforted and surrounded by love.

Amen.

It was so special to see our wonderful Year 1 and Year 6 buddies enjoying their Mother’s Day activities together this week! There were plenty of smiles, creativity, and laughter shared as students worked side by side to celebrate the important women in their lives. What a fun and memorable experience for all involved!

Gospel Reflection - Sunday 10th of May

Sunday's Gospel

John 14:15-21

Jesus promises his disciples that he will send them another advocate, the Spirit of truth.

Family Connection

The mystery of the Trinity can be difficult for us to grasp. Today’s Gospel invites us to consider how the three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit work together so that God’s salvation is made known to us. Jesus’ mission is continued through the activity of the Holy Spirit in the lives of his disciples. We have received this same Spirit through our Baptisms. The Spirit, living and working within us, reveals the mystery of God’s love for us. Just as the first disciples were not forgetten, we are not forgotten; we remain in God’s embrace through the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Gather your family and invite each family member to say what he or she knows about the Holy Spirit. Read aloud today’s Gospel, John 14:15-21.

What does Jesus say the Holy Spirit will do for the disciples?

Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, we come to share in the love of God made known to us in Jesus.

May God bless,
