Aerobic Gymnastics End of Year Concert

The Aerobic Gymnastics team concluded the year with a vibrant end‑of‑year concert, showcasing the dedication and hard work of all students. 2025 has been an outstanding year for the team, highlighted by winning the Victorian Champion Primary School award, with 27 students qualifying for the Aeroschool National Championships

The team returned from Nationals with multiple medals, including two National Champion titles, a remarkable achievement that reflects their commitment and talent.

We also farewelled our Year Twelve student, Abi Cullen (12 Millward), who returned for one final performance, marking a special moment for the team. At the conclusion of the concert, two prestigious awards were presented:

  • 2025 Ruby Conti Junior Award – awarded to Camilla Christian (5 Aherne)
  • 2025 Ruby Conti Senior Award – awarded to Elizabeth McGrath (11 Millward)

Both Camilla and Elizabeth have been invaluable members of the Aerobic Gymnastics team throughout 2025, consistently supporting their peers and demonstrating a positive attitude. Their contributions have enriched the team culture and inspired others.

Although they faced a tough loss to Mount View PS in the semi-final and narrowly fell to Epping PS in the playoff for third place, the boys demonstrated exceptional determination, skill and sportsmanship throughout the day. Their efforts, along with their dedication to training in the lead-up to the event, were a credit to themselves and to the school. They represented Girton Grammar and the wider region with pride and enthusiasm.

This strong result sets a solid foundation for future participation in this event. A special thank you to Mr Epps and Mr Hoyt for their support in guiding the team.

Please join us in congratulating the boys on their fantastic achievement!

Congratulations to our Junior School Chess team who competed at the Chess Victoria State Finals on Tuesday 18 November.

Due to competition limits, only five members of our larger team were permitted to compete. The top five players from the State Semi Finals travelled to Glen Waverley to represent our team against the best primary school teams in Victoria.

Girton and Ballarat Clarendon College were the only regional teams represented. The players did very well for their first State competition, scoring 11 points and coming 14th overall.
