Social Justice – St Vincent de Paul Sleepout
Our Year 6 students are preparing for their annual St Vincent de Paul (SVP) Sleepout. This important social justice initiative aims to raise awareness of homelessness and the challenges faced by people experiencing hardship in our community.
The Sleepout provides students with an opportunity to develop empathy, reflect on the importance of helping others and put our Catholic faith into action by supporting those in need.
A special thank you to Maurice from St Vincent de Paul Sandringham, who joined us at assembly on Friday morning to share the wonderful work SVP does to support vulnerable individuals and families in our local community.
To support this initiative, our Year 6 students will be running fundraising stalls on Wednesday the 28th October. Well done to our Year 6 students who did a wonderful job presenting their stall ideas at assembly on Friday! We kindly ask families to bring coins where possible, as we may not be able to provide change for larger notes.
We also encourage families to support our Year 6 students by donating through our Sleepout fundraising link below. Please share this link with family and friends to help us raise as much as possible for this worthy cause.
Thank you for your continued generosity and support as we put our faith into action through social justice!
Le míle beannacht,
(with a thousand blessings)
