QGSSSA Swimming Championships
We’re on the countdown to the 91st Annual QGSSSA Swimming Championships!
When: Wednesday, 4 March
Where: Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Sleeman Sports Complex
With the Championships just around the corner, we’re focused on keeping our swimmers fresh and ready to perform at their best.
Pre-Championships Relay Session and Team BBQ
When: Saturday, 28 February - 3:00pm to 4:30pm
Where: Clayfield College Pool
Relays play a significant role in accruing points, so it’s vital that all swimmers attend. Let's perfect our changeovers and enjoy some team bonding over a BBQ! Please find below relay session sign on.
Training Schedule:
- Tuesday 3 March: 6:30am to 7:15am
- Tuesday Team Breakfast: 7:30am to 8:15am
- Wednesday 4 March: It’s GO TIME at the QGSSSA Swimming Championships.
The team list and event schedule will be posted on the Sports Notice Board by lunchtime on Friday 27 February. Let’s make waves, support each other, and show our strength as a team!
Student Spectators
Students in Years 7 to 12 are encouraged to attend as spectators.
Date: Wednesday, 4 March
Venue: Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Sleeman Sports Complex
Time: 3:15pm to 9:00pm
Bring: Food and a water bottle in a small bag (Kiosk facilities will be available)
Do not bring: iPod or equivalent (you are attending to support the Swimming team)
Uniform: Summer uniform (including hats – boys and girls)

Get ready to make a splash as we approach the final key dates for the 2025 QGSSSA Swimming Championships. With each stroke and every kick, our team is gearing up to showcase their prowess in the pool.
Clayfield Swimmers Progress to Metropolitan North Trials
Clayfield College proudly recognises the following swimmers who have qualified for the Metropolitan North Swimming Trials, a significant step within the school sport representative pathway.

Selection at this level reflects dedication, performance and composure in competition. The Metropolitan North Trials bring together the region’s strongest school-aged swimmers, providing the opportunity to progress toward State representation.
We congratulate each athlete on this achievement and look forward to supporting them as they prepare to compete on the next stage.
Clayfield Athletes Selected for Metropolitan North Teams
We proudly congratulate two athletes who have earned selection in Metropolitan North representative teams, progressing to the Queensland School Sport State Championships.
Maddison Fellowes has been selected in the 13 to 16 Years Metropolitan North Basketball Team and will compete at the Queensland School Sport State Basketball Championships from Thursday 7 May to Sunday 10 May at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre. Maddison’s selection reflects her consistency, composure and impact on the court across the representative pathway.
Joining her at the state level is Chloe Davison, named in the 16 to 19 Years Metropolitan North Girls Football Team. Chloe will contest the Queensland School Sport State Football Championships across the same dates in Townsville at Paradise Park. Her selection recognises her strong technical ability and competitive presence in high-level matches.
To earn Metropolitan North selection is a significant achievement. To progress to State Championships represents the next level of excellence.
We congratulate Maddison and Chloe on this accomplishment and look forward to supporting them as they represent both Metropolitan North and Clayfield College on the state stage.
