Interschool Sport

A big congratulations to the Mixed Netball team, they won the district final and will now play in the division final on the 21st of July at the Altona Basketball Stadium. Good luck team!!

Athletics Day Term 3 Week 2

Athletics Day this year will be at the Newport Athletics Track for Years 2-6. Years 3-6 will be competing for places in the Sacred Heart District Athletics Team while Year 2 will participate in all the same events but not progress, they will get a feel for what Athletics Day will be like. Only 9-10, 11 and 12 age groups compete at School Sports Victoria levels.

The Prep and Year 1 Students will compete in various events on site at school, this event will be facilitated by Kim Dalmau, one of our school leaders. These events will include; relay, high jump, long jump, bean bag throw, foam javelin, sprints etc...

This decision was made due to years of the senior students running over time, resulting in the junior school starting late, cutting events, and often returning to school late. The senior students need to complete all events so that the teams can be submitted for district athletics, if they are running late their events can't but cut to enable the junior students to run on time.

If you would like to help on the day there will be an option to volunteer on the permission forms over the coming weeks.
