The Heart of Sacred Heart

At Sacred Heart, generosity is simply part of who we are. From baking scones and sewing bunting, to turning a snag on the barbecue or donating a warm winter jacket, our families continually give of themselves to support others. It is this way of being that truly animates our school. It always has! People often comment on the feeling they experience when they walk through our hallways and enter classrooms - a feeling of warmth, welcome and belonging. It is the generosity of our families, staff and students that nurtures this culture of care and truly reflects our heart of Sacred Heart.

Thank you to our families for your wonderful support of our Winter Warmth Appeal. Today, West Welcome Wagon visited our school to collect the many donations of warm clothing, blankets and gold coin contributions. A special thank you also to our Mary MacKillop Leaders for enthusiastically promoting the appeal and helping to collect and organise the donations. Together, we are making a meaningful difference to families in our local community.

Book Bags Welcome!

If your family has a book bag that is no longer being used, we would greatly appreciate it if you could donate it back to the school.

Please drop any book bags in good condition to the school office so they can be used by other students in Years Prep - 2

Thank you for your generosity and support.

Term 2: Learning, Growth and Reflection

As we come to the end of another busy and rewarding semester, I would like to congratulate all of our students on the effort, persistence and growth they have shown in their learning. It has been wonderful to see the pride students took in sharing their work and reflecting on their progress during our Learning Conferences this week.

Thank you to all of our parents and carers who took the time to attend. Your presence demonstrated the powerful partnership that exists between home and school. When children see the important adults in their lives working together, they gain confidence, motivation and a deeper sense that their learning truly matters.

As we head into the holidays, I encourage every family to take the opportunity to slow down and reconnect (and stay warm!!) Whether it's taking a walk, reading a book together, playing a board game, cooking a meal or simply sharing conversations, these everyday moments are rich learning opportunities.  Learning does not stop when the school gates close. Children continue to grow through their experiences with family, friends, their community, play and the natural world. We hope the holidays provide time to rest, recharge, connect and continue learning together.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back in Term 3, where we will continue to build on students' knowledge by connecting classroom learning with their lives, communities and the world around them.

Wishing all of our families a safe, restful and joy-filled break.
