Two down and two to go! Our Year 3 and Year 5 students have now completed both the Writing and Reading NAPLAN tests, and we could not be prouder of their efforts.
NAPLAN got off to a shaky start across the country on Wednesday due to a technical issue with the NAPLAN platform affecting schools. Despite these challenges, our students handled the situation with patience and resilience, quickly settling into their tests and continuing to give their best effort.
Throughout this week's Writing and Reading assessments, students have shown incredible determination, focus, and positive attitudes, giving their very best in every task. It has been wonderful to see them approach each test with confidence and resilience, demonstrating the learning habits we value so highly at Whittlesea Primary School.
We encourage you to celebrate not just the completion of the tests, but also the hard work and commitment our students put into doing their personal best. Their effort is a true reflection of the progress they are making every day.
As previously communicated via Compass, schools across Australia experienced technical issues with the NAPLAN online platform on Wednesday. To ensure all students have the best opportunity to complete their tests without interruption, we have made a small change to next week’s testing schedule. Test days will now be as follows:
Conventions of Language:
Numeracy:
Catch-up sessions will be held on Tuesday 17th, Thursday 19th and Friday 20th March for students who have been absent and missed testing sessions.
Thank you to our families for supporting your children to feel calm, confident, and ready for success during NAPLAN.
To our students, you have done a great job this week. Remember to take some time to recharge your brain, have some fun and get plenty of sleep over the weekend. We can not wait to see what you achieve in the Conventions of Language and Numeracy tests next week.

DON'T FORGET:
