Visual Arts

In the art room, students across the school have been exploring different ideas and techniques to express themselves as artists. 🎨
Our Prep students have been learning about primary colours and experimenting with mixing colours to discover new ones.
In Years 3 and 4, students have been working on an identity project: Bottled Memory where students explored how a self-portrait might be represented through an object, a memory, or a personal interest, helping them think about different ways artists can express identity.
In Years 5 and 6, students have been experimenting with oil pastels, learning how to blend colours to create smooth transitions. They have also explored how colour can communicate mood, discovering how different colour choices can help an artwork feel calm, energetic, mysterious or joyful.
Across all year levels, students are building their confidence to experiment, explore ideas and express themselves creatively through art.
