Year 10 RMIT Experience Day 12th &13th February 2024

The RMIT Experience Day was an excellent opportunity for our Year 10 students to get a taste of university life and explore various course offerings, pathways, and scholarship options.

Students participated in several hands-on activities including space science, engineering, and virtual reality. These sessions provided students with valuable insights into potential future career paths and academic interests.

Experiencing university-level activities at this stage can also help students make more informed decisions about their academic and career goals as they progress through high school.

Do you know any fun facts about Japanese Valentine's Day?

In Japan, Valentine's Day is a day when friends, family, and classmates show their appreciation for each other with chocolate treats. But here's the twist – it's the girls who do the giving! Girls give chocolate to boys, friends, and even teachers. It's a heart-warming way to spread love and kindness.

There are two main types of chocolate gifts exchanged in Japan during Valentine's Day:

  1. Honmei-choco (True Feelings Chocolate): This special chocolate is given to someone you have strong feelings for. It's usually homemade or carefully chosen from a store.
  2. Giri-choco (Obligation Chocolate): Giri-choco is given to friends, classmates, and co-workers as a gesture of friendship and appreciation. No romantic strings attached!

In Japanese class on February 14th, 7E4 students learned about Valentine's Day in Japan and made an origami love heart. It was so much fun!
