Mathematics Update

Each year EMC participates in the Australian Mathematics Competition, the longest-running and largest mathematics contest of its kind in Australia. It’s designed  to challenge and extend students’ problem-solving skills. We want to congratulate all students who chose to take part in the competition this year, your willingness to challenge yourself is a feat in itself and something to be proud of. This year we had 125 students from year 7, 8 and 10 participate. 

We encourage all students who wish to extend themselves to participate in the 2026 competition.

In particular, we would like to acknowledge the students listed below who achieved results placing them in the top 55 % (Credit level) and top 25 % (Distinction level) in the state.
