Principal's News

Dear Families & Friends,
It has again been a busy two weeks for all of us at Trinity and much has been completed during this time.
National Reconciliation Week
This week we acknowledged National Reconciliation Week, a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to consider how we can contribute to reconciliation in our everyday lives. On Tuesday our classes participated in a whole school meditation session centred around respect, understanding and unity. These moments of calm and reflection are an important part of supporting student wellbeing and creating positive learning environments.
School Closure Day - Tuesday 9th June
All staff will be involved in a Professional Learning Day on Tuesday 9th June. School will be closed for all students. MACSEYE will be able to offer day care on the 9th if they have adequate numbers to run the program.
Online Safety
Online safety continues to be an important focus for our school community. We encourage all families to have ongoing conversations at home with children about respectful and safe behaviour online, appropriate screen use and the importance of protecting personal information. Working together helps ensure our students can confidently and safely navigate the digital world. As part of our ongoing commitment to teaching digital wellbeing all students at Trinity will participate in the Inform and Empower Program implemented across the school.
National Simultaneous Story Time
Yesterday, our students joined schools across the country in celebrating National Simultaneous Storytime. It was wonderful to see students engaged in the shared joy of reading as we joined together to enjoy this special annual event that promotes literacy and a love of books. Special thanks to our Literacy Leader Mrs Kate Foley for organizing this activity.
Student Safety
As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, we will be conducting a lockdown practice in the coming weeks. These practices are an important component of our school emergency management procedures and help ensure that staff and students are familiar with safety expectations in the unlikely event of an emergency.
Secondary School Discovery Day
Our Year 4 students recently participated in a Secondary School Discovery Day at Academy of Mary Immaculate and Simonds College. These experiences provide students with an exciting opportunity to have a small taste of secondary school life, engage in new learning environments and begin thinking about their transition to secondary schooling.
Parents & Friends Fundraiser
Thank you to our wonderful Parents & Friends Association for coordinating the Pink Bun Drive to raise money for Brest Cancer Research. We greatly appreciate the continued support of our families and community in fundraising initiatives such as these. A reminder that Pink Buns will be available after assembly tomorrow 29th May.
Annual Report to the School Community
Each year, schools are required to complete an annual report to the school community to highlight the school's priorities and goals as well as achievements in all aspects of school life. I am pleased to present the Annual Report to the School Community for the 2025 school year which is now available on our school's webpage.
