Sports Update

Sports Academy Members Rub Shoulders with  Golf's Elite

On Friday in week 1, our Sports Academy students in Years 7–10 enjoyed an exciting excursion to the Webex Players Series tournament at Cobram-Barooga Golf Club. The day provided a fantastic opportunity to watch elite golfers up close and gain insight into high-level competition.

A highlight for many students was seeing local favourite Steffi Vogel in action. Their support was duly noted, with Steffi giving the group a special mention on her socials, thanking them for their enthusiasm, support and positive energy out on the course.

To round out the day, students visited the Sporties Barooga golf simulators, where they had the chance to put into practice some of the skills and techniques they had observed! It was a valuable and inspiring experience for all involved!

Despite the nerves that come with stepping up, each athlete rose to the occasion and performed exceptionally well. Special congratulations to Jas Brown, who will now compete at the National Championships following his results! We wish him the very best of luck and know he'll continue to make us proud.

Keep up the fantastic work boys – your dedication and hard work are truly paying off!

Sister Success on the National Stage

Sisters Charlotte Dickins (Year 12) and Juliette Steel (Year 6) have recently returned from an incredible five days of competition at the Australian Youth Dressage Championships, held at the Werribee National Equestrian Centre.

Both girls competed at the Interschools and Equestrian Australia events after qualifying throughout the year with outstanding scores — a huge achievement in itself.

Juliette delivered an amazing performance, finishing top 10 in all of her classes.

Charlotte also produced exceptional results, placing top 3 and going on to win Reserve Australian Preliminary Champion — made even more impressive by the fact she has only been partnered with her horse for three months, competing against riders with years of experience together.

Congratulations Charlotte and Juliette — what an outstanding effort!
