Principal's Message

I trust this edition of ‘What’s On’ finds all families well.
As we come to the end of week 2, it has been encouraging to see routines settling, learning spaces active, and students engaging confidently in the year ahead. Below is a snapshot of what’s been happening across the school and what’s coming up next week.
This Week
Junior School House Leaders
Our Junior School House Leaders have been announced following their speeches last week. We congratulate all students who participated in the process. Further details will be shared in the newsletter.
Senior School Assembly
Our Senior School gathered earlier this week to recognise and celebrate excellence and leadership. The 2025 class duxes were presented with their badges, and House Captains were formally acknowledged as they received their leadership badges. This has become a wonderful annual tradition at our first assembly each year.
New Learning Spaces in Use
It has been pleasing to see new learning areas up and running:
- The Music room, including dedicated tutoring spaces, has been very well received by students and staff.
- The second Science room is now operational following repairs to the air-conditioning. These additions provide greater flexibility and opportunity within our learning programs.
Junior School Chapel
On Friday morning we conducted our first Junior School Chapel Service. Lead by Ms Shea Doyle, our Head of Anglican Identity and assisted by the JS House Captains, this was a wonderful exploration of our Anglican Identity. Our students engaged with energy and enthusiasm as they discussed our three school pillars Integrity, Endeavour and Community, and were an absolute credit to themselves.
Next Week
Swimming Carnival – Tuesday
Students will walk to the pool, with competition expected to begin as close to 9:45am as possible. We look forward to welcoming families to the Cobram Outdoor Pool and indeed a positive day of participation and House spirit.
Parents & Friends (P&F) Meeting – Tuesday, 7:00pm
The first meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday evening. New families are warmly encouraged to attend and become involved in this supportive and valued group of volunteers.
Year 12 Retreat – Wednesday
Our Year 12 students will travel to Beechworth for their annual retreat, an important opportunity for reflection, connection and preparation for the year ahead.
Apology Day Gathering – Friday Morning
The school community will gather at the Yarning Circle to mark Apology Day. This will be followed by a Junior School Assembly in the PAC at 9:53am.
