Senior School Update

Year 7s Find Their Groove
Our Year 7 students have made an excellent start to life in secondary school, settling into their new routines and way of learning with confidence and enthusiasm after their first week of classes.
"With new subjects and plenty of new teachers, the students have settled and are into full learning mode. Highlights from the week have included exploring Otzi the Iceman in Humanities, reflecting on identity through The Story of Me in English, beginning their journey in Science, and creating portraits in Art."
Year 7 B homeroom teacher, Steve Tatnall
"Each morning I am greeted with happy, smiling faces in homeroom and you can definitely feel the class' enthusiasm to learn!"
Year 7 A homeroom teacher, Amy Carr
One student said they are "loving the Story of Me assignment as they get to write about and share their interests with the class". Another said "high school maths is a lot more fun that primary school maths!"
Staff have been particularly impressed with how positively students have embraced expectations and the strong start they have made. It has been a very pleasing beginning to the year, and we look forward to seeing our Year 7 students continue to grow and thrive in the weeks and months ahead.
