Regional Spelling Bee

After an exciting battle to determine our Stage 3 and Stage 2 spelling bee finalists, Riven from 5/6S and William from 3/4K represented Peakhurst Public School in the Regional Spelling Bee finals via Zoom.

It was a nerve-wracking competition, with both students progressing well through the rounds. As each round was completed, students from schools all around Sydney were quickly eliminated. Both students maintained their composure under pressure and managed to be among the last 10 students standing in their Senior and Junior competitions. William was unfortunately eliminated in Round 5 with the word "granule," and Riven was knocked out with the super tricky word "fluoridation."

Both students should be extremely proud of their efforts and outstanding spelling.
