Bullying No Way Week (17-21 August)
Next week is Bullying No Way Week, a national week focused on creating safe, supportive, and inclusive school communities where everyone feels they belong.
Throughout the week, our teachers will be talking with students about what bullying is, how we can recognise it, what we can do if we experience or see bullying, and how our everyday actions can help others feel safe and included. Students will take part in age-appropriate classroom discussions and activities that promote kindness, respect, inclusion and positive relationships.
To support the week, we will also hold an out-of-uniform day on Thursday 20 August. Students are encouraged to wear purple, a colour representing peace, strength and empowerment, to show their commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and respectful school community.
Families play an important role in helping children understand and respond to bullying. For further information, advice and support, we recommend the following resources:
Kids Helpline – Bullying Support Guide for Parents – practical advice for parents supporting a child experiencing bullying or cyberbullying.
Bullying No Way – Resources for families – information and resources about bullying prevention and supporting children.
eSafety Commissioner – Cyberbullying – advice for parents and carers about online bullying and what to do if your child is being cyberbullied.
Please refer to the school’s Bullying Prevention Policy below if you would like further information regarding supports the school has in place.

Together, we can help our children build the skills and confidence to speak up, seek help, support others, and make our school community a place where bullying has no place.
