Specialist Happenings

Visual Arts

Our fabulous students from Level 3, 6A and 6C have explored creating textured landscapes with rubbing plates and crayons, with a further layer of water painting to create an interesting backdrop for some animal collage. There was a focus on careful cutting and placement of the creatures in perspective. The results are beautiful, thoughtful images, some of which are now on display in the foyer and stadium, and others are arriving home to enjoy. Here are a few from 6C.

Mindful bugs- during mindfulness, some students in level 1, 2, and 3 have created stunning metallic bugs which are now on display around the school. Our mindfulness moments allow the students to calm down after being outside or other activities, settling their brain for optimal creativity and we can also connect it to practising different skills or concepts in our art learning. Here are some amazing bugs from 1A.
