Term 3, Week 4
Book Week Dress Up Day: Friday 28th August
Ballarat Wildlife Park: Friday 4th September- More information to come. Students are required to arrive to school at 7.45am, leaving 8am sharp.
As Grade 1 approaches, it is important that students begin entering the classroom independently each morning. Please encourage your child to carry their own school bag and walk into the classroom on their own.
When the music plays, all students are expected to line up and wait for their teacher to collect them before entering the classroom.
Thank you for your ongoing support in helping your child develop these important independence skills.








































Literacy
In Literacy over the next two weeks, we will be reading 'Pete the Sheep', 'What is a mammal', 'No Way Yirrikipayi!' and 'Really Cool Reptiles'. We will be beginning Stage 6 and focusing on the sound 'sh' makes. We will learn our new heart words 'so' and 'all'.
Mathematics
In weeks 5 and 6 we will continue learning about place value, and discussing days of the week.
Topic
In Topic, we will learn about mammals. Week 6 is science week, which means we will become scientists and conduct experiements.
In Respectful Relationships we will start looking at Help Seeking: Don't drop the ball game & who are your helpers at school?
