Parent Opinion Survey

The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

The survey will be open from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026. A random sample of approximately 30 per cent of parents / caregivers / guardians will be selected soon to participate in this year’s survey. If you are slected, you will receive an email on (or just after) August 17 with instructions on how to complete the survey.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes about 10 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the survey period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Please contact the office if you would like more information.

100 Days of Prep

Our Prep students have done an outstanding job this year. With the guidance of their teachers and the wonderful support of their families, they have made a confident and successful transition into school and have come an incredibly long way in their learning. It is always remarkable to see the growth students make during their first year of school.

Last Friday, our Prep students had a fantastic time celebrating 100 Days of Prep. The day was filled with fun, laughter and plenty of creative costumes as students marked this important milestone in their learning journey.

A big thank you to our Prep families for embracing the celebration and helping their children come dressed for the occasion. Your support helped make the day even more special.

We are proud of everything our Prep students have achieved so far and look forward to watching them continue to grow and be awesome throughout the second half of the year.

Prep Enrolments for 2027

Prep enrolments for 2027 closed recently. A large number of applications were received and parents have now been notified of the outcome of their application.

I look forward to continuing to work with many of our existing families, through the enrolment of younger siblings. I also look forward to working with many new families in 2027.

Carers Cuppa with the Different Journeys - August 7th @ 2.15pm

Different Journeys are offering a Carers Cuppa information session at 2.15pm tomorrow (7/8) for our community members who are carers. The session will be very informal and offer a great deal of information about services, supports and financial assistance available to you as a carer. It will be held in our staffroom in the lead up to assembly and the end of the school day.

A carer is someone who provides unpaid care and support to family members or friends who: have a disability, experience mental illness, live with a chronic condition, are terminally ill, face challenges with alcohol or other drug-related issues, or are elderly and require help with daily activities.

You will find more information about Different Journeys by visiting Home - Different Journeys Autism

I hope many of you can benefit from this partnership with Different Journeys.

School Gardens

Please support us to keep our gardens looking beautiful by talking to your children about using the paths, and avoiding taking shortcuts through the gardens. Tanya, our gardener, does an amazing job and we can all do our bit to support the work she does.
