Grade 5/6

Grade 5/6 students have continued reading their class text, Once, in small groups. They have been writing summaries and predictions for each chapter, as well as literal and inferential comprehension questions. Students have also been developing their creative writing skills during our 'Friday Free Write' sessions on laptops.

In Maths, students have been learning about measurement, including time, perimeter, area and volume. They have also been learning how to use the algorithm for solving 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication problems.

In Humanities, students have been learning about countries of the world and will be researching and completing an information report on a neighbouring country of their choice over the coming weeks.
