Captains Corner

Welcome to this fortnight’s Captains’ Corner and what an amazing week we have had so far, from things like Year 6 Camp to District Athletics this fortnight was a blast. 

Across GWPS everyone participated in the ‘Being Brave’ incursion, what an incredible show it was filled with joy and excitement. Thank you to the staff who came to our school to perform, we highly appreciate your efforts.

Last Tuesday the 2nd of September, a few sporty students went to District Athletics. We were so proud to see the 48 students who qualified for Division and we look forward to them representing our school and district on the 8th of October. Well done to the rest of the students who also participated in District and we are so proud of all your achievements.

Year Sixes are still excited from the amazing camp we had. Hats off to ADANAC for hosting a wonderful three-day camp filled with the incredible activities, cabins, and food. The staff who came to our camp, we highly appreciate your support and time. Here’s our highlights of the camp:

Shiv: “I was able to do my first ever flip on the bouncy trampoline. It was so fun with my friends and group. Overall, camp was amazing”

Eliana: “Camp was so fun. I finally learnt how to cook something without making a blast in the kitchen. My damper bread tasted delicious. I devoured it in a second”. 

What a week it has been, fulfilled with multiple layers of goodness. Thank you for taking your time to read this article.
