BHHS 95th anniversary expo a huge success!

What a week at our 95th anniversary celebration of the school's history! Students, families, staff, alumni and guests all visited the exhibition in the hall over the course of the week between 1-5 September.

Our formal opening on Tuesday 2 September featured speakers including past school captains, a past principal, the School Council president and other valued guests, all of whom spoke about the importance of belonging and creating a welcoming culture in which to learn and work.

Reflections from a past school captain:

"I think the standout feeling that emerges for me about the school community is the intrinsic feeling that teachers genuinely cared for me, and that I belonged."

Feedback from alumni who attended the exhibition and alumni school tours was extremely positive:

"Great memories. Very impressed with the expo."

"The student hosted tour of the school was very interesting."

"The growth of the school is amazing."

The organising committee for the Expo (pictured below) met weekly to bring together the history of the school in a beautiful visual and audio display.
