Short recap of the day - Intermediate Basketball

Boys A - Written by Sunny & Evan

We had a great start but a tragic decline. We, yes we will get them next year! The boys had some epic moments but there can only be one MVP. Congratulations to Mylo for winning the MVP but the rest of the boys played really great!

Girls A

Had a slow start but everyone needs a warm-up game! We did an amazing job working together as a team the games after and taking feedback. The girls all contributed to our amazing moments on court but our MVPs Rani and Charli went above and beyond to follow what the coaches were saying and lifted the game and their teammates with them. Congratulations girls ! You all did incredibly!

Year 7 Boys Regional Soccer

The first game was against Brentwood and the boys showed the tournament their abilities with a comfortable 3-0. Game 2 against Balwyn was a bit nerve racking with it being 1-1 at half time but near the end of the second half another goal was scored, securing the victory. The 3rd game was against Mooroolbark and the boys were feeling confident. At the end of the shaky first half we were down 2-1 but Luka D showed his skill by not only scoring the one goal in the first half but three more in the second half to make it 4-2. The boys controlled the game in the second half securing an awesome 5-2 win. Then came the final against the formidable Rowville side. Unfortunately it was a big loss ending 6-0 but the boys gave it their all and left it all on the pitch. The two MVPs of the day who showed brilliance and skill were Luka D and Gabe O’C.

Year 8 Boys Hockey

We got a good result today, winning two out of the three games we played. The boys played well, with some good runs, tackles and a whopping 10 total goals for us, with only three against.

Our first game against Blackburn saw a lot of the players getting used to the game, with only a 1-0 victory thanks to a good deflection from Ben. We were much more in the second game, with an 8-0 steamroll against Koonung. But the hard game was the last one. We played well, but East Doncaster's defence and sharp breakaways ended up besting us. Our defenders, although good, couldn't defend them all and we lost 3-1, but had some great intercepts and tackles from Kade and an amazing setup for our goal from Ari and Cameron. This game is also when our goalie, Quinn, touched the ball for the first time.

The MVPs for the day go to Cameron and Ari, though the competition was very tough.

Girls Netball

Below are photos of the Year 7 (left) and Year 8 (right) Girls' Netball teams. The Year 8 Girls were Regional Runners Up and the Year 7 Girls were Regional Semi Finalists. Well done!
