Dear Parents and Carers

It was with sadness that we said farewell to Fr Joe at this morning's assembly.

Fr Joe has been a wonderful friend and spiritual leader at Luke's for the past 13 years. He has been a guiding light in our parish, and school community, known for his compassionate heart, inspiring homilies, and unwavering commitment to pastoral care.

Over the years, he has baptised our kids, led us through many sacraments and school masses, married loved ones, comforted us in times of sorrow, and rejoiced with us in moments of joy.

A special presentation was made, including letters, gifts and a short video of our students sharing what they think Fr Joe will do in retirement.   It was hilarious.   I'm not sure if becoming a Ninja or a scuba diver are high on his list of things to learn!

On behalf of the school community we presented Fr Joe with message sticks and a hand woven basket all made by local Yorta Yorta leaders.   His love for indigenous art is well known.

Though we are sad to see him go, we rejoice in the legacy he leaves behind and the peace he has earned.  We thank Fr Joe for his years of faithful service and pray that his retirement is filled with rest, joy, and continued blessings.

May God bless you always, Fr Joe. You will be deeply missed,

Fr Joe's final Mass will be held on Sunday 28th September, 11am Mass.

Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday.

Go Hawks!!!

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

St Brendan’s Parish,

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults.

Are you searching for more peace in your life, do you feel something is missing  in your life?

The RCIA process leads people through what the Catholic church believes and teaches. Our focus is on how the church and our faith lead us to a relationship with God, through joining a community of faith.

The RCIA process begins on Thursday the 9th of Oct at 7.30pm in the St Brendan’s Pastoral centre, with an enquiry night.

The role of sharing our faith with others is central to our own faith, this sometimes happens through us asking a question, or listening as others ask questions.

The RCIA team of MaryAnne Demase, Geoff Woodhouse, Sr Hartini and myself lead the process on behalf of Our Parish please keep us in your prayers and seek to be informed on what is happening in the RCIA process and who is involved.

Any questions can be directed to Anthony 58212633 Tuesday or Thursday.
