The Curiosity children have been exploring clay and its unique properties over the past few weeks. They have observed and experienced what happens when water is added to clay and are now experimenting with clay that is less wet and more pliable. As they manipulate, shape, and mould the clay, the children are developing their fine motor skills while expressing their creativity in different ways.

Some children have taken inspiration from the pottery bowls displayed in the centre of the table, while others have explored using tools to add details such as lines, patterns, and holes to their creations. Through this process, they have been investigating the properties of materials, testing ideas, and refining their techniques as they work.

It has been wonderful to see each child's individuality shine through. No two creations are the same, every piece is original and meaningful. Experiences such as these support children to develop confidence in their own ideas, think creatively, and communicate their thoughts through artistic expression. Most importantly, the children are experiencing the joy of creating something uniquely their own.
