God is With Us

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were three men who loved God and refused to worship King Nebuchadnezzar’s golden statue, even when they were threatened with being thrown into a fiery furnace. When they were cast into the flames, God protected them and was with them in the fire, showing that He is always faithful to those who trust Him. 

This bible account might seem far fetched and irrelevant to us in 2026 however there are some lessons we can learn. 

LIFE LESSONS FROM THE FIERY FURNACE 

• Stand up for what is right, even when it is hard: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow down to the king's giant golden statue because they knew they should only worship the one true God. They showed courage by doing the right thing, even when everyone else was doing the wrong thing. 
• Trust God no matter what happens: The three men didn't know if God would rescue them from the fire, but they trusted Him anyway. Faith is choosing to be faithful to God because we love Him. 
• God is always with us in difficult times: When the three friends were thrown into the fire, they were not alone. The king looked in and saw a fourth person with them, protecting them so they didn't even smell like smoke. God stays close to us when we go through scary or hard situations.
