Warm air then rises but it turns the water into gas. This process is called evaporation, The water vapour rises up to form clouds, this causes condensation. When there is too much condensation the clouds become really heavy and water droplets fall from the clouds. This is called precipitation, or rain. Rain goes down the surface run off that infiltrates the soil and the ground. It is also absorbed into trees and plants and some of it heads back into the sea or in water sources. Then it all starts again, that is the Water Cycle!, Family Week
