Greater Western Region Cross Country

On Monday 26th May, Harry K, Nyima, Airlie, Adelle, George, Hudson and Holly W represented Edenhope College at the Greater Western Region Cross Country in Warrnambool. With approximately 50 to 60 runners in each age group trying to qualify for the State Cross Country, it was always going to be a tough day for our runners.

Holly (7th) and Hudson (11th) proved themselves good enough to qualify for the State Cross Country on Thursday 24th July. Congratulations!

Thanks to the parents who were available to get their children to the cross country.

Primary Winter Sports

Our Grade 5/6 students combined with others from Apsley, Goroke, Balmoral and St Malachy’s to form teams in Netball and Football to play in the Little Desert Winter Sports Day.

Our netballers combined with Balmoral to form a team and had a really successful day winning each of their games in Division 2. Thanks to Miss Hinge for coaching the team.

Our footballers played across two teams, with plenty of action for the day. Plenty of skill was shown, however the opposition unfortunately showed a little more in each game.

Year 7/8 Netball

With plenty of interest from our Year 7/8 girls to play Netball, we combined with Balmoral to form two netball teams to play on Wednesday 28th May. Our Year 7s formed one team, while our Year 8s worked with Balmoral to form the other.

Both teams played really well during the day, taking on Dimboola, Murtoa and also each other. Thanks to Mrs Kealy for coaching and umpiring for the day.
