Co-Principal's Report

Welcome to Week 7! Term Two is disappearing fast, but our students are definitely getting in and making the most of what has been on offer, as this edition of our newsletter will show.

We welcomed back the crew from ‘The Man Cave’ earlier this term to chat to our upper-primary and secondary boys. The day was well received by our boys and has hopefully given them some confidence to step up when they need to, but understand that they can also really support each other.

The last few weeks have been those of extremes. We have unfortunately experienced great sadness in our community and our thoughts continue to be with Kelly and Lily on the passing of Scott.

In contrast, we have had official confirmation that we will receive our $13.1 million grant for Future Funding to rebuild and enhance sections of our school. This is incredibly exciting news and we are thrilled to be getting modern and updated facilities that will provide more educational opportunities for all our students. As soon as we know more about when the likely start date for building will be, we will relay this to our wider school community and advise more details. Stay tuned!

We had our Senior Formal recently and it was a huge success with almost 80 students and staff celebrating and dancing the night away.

We had our Year 7 2026 Information night last week and our Foundation 2026 Information Night is coming up on Wednesday 11th June at 6pm. We have also been running school tours on Wednesday mornings (9:30-10:30am). If you are keen to have a look around our final one is this coming Wednesday, 4th June, but if this doesn’t suit, please contact the office and arrange a time that does. We encourage you to come and take a look and hear what we have to offer.

Who Am I?

While most in our community will have seen me around, on and off, through my various  teaching and leadership roles in between taking maternity leave to have my children, I applied for and was offered the opportunity to be Co-Principal this year. As well as this, I am a Mum to four children, two of which attend school here at College; my husband and I own a farm and I also still get to teach the Year 9s and 10s for English – it doesn’t get much better! I am loving the opportunity to step up and make a difference for my school and my community.

While not every day is the perfect balance between being a Principal, Teacher and Mum, I am trying my hardest to be a passionate and authentic leader of our school. If you feel there is anything we can do to be better leaders or enhance your child/ren’s educational journey, please don’t hesitate to make contact with us.
