PHOENIX HOUSE NEWS

Term 1 was a jam-packed term for St John's Regional College students and staff.

During term one, activities such as the House Aquatics Carnival, Year 7 Camp, SIS Sport, Year 12 Retreat, and SIS Performing Arts were held. The students at St John's had numerous opportunities to participate in various activities.

Term 2 has started with a hectic schedule. The first week back, we saw an Anzac Day celebration and Humanities week activities being held. Week 2 saw the St John's SIS Swim team head off to MSAC to participate in the SIS Swimming Carnival. Week 3 had year 7 to 10 students undertaking ACER testing and several local primary schools participating in the College's Soccer Gala Day. Week 4 holds one of the highlights of the College Calendar, Founders Day. It is a day that staff and students look forward to every year.

As you can see, term two has started with a bang.

We look forward to the rest of the term.

Hello everyone!

What a fantastic start to the year it has been! Term one was busy. It was wonderful to see everyone participating in the Aquatics Carnival and embracing their Houses by proudly displaying their House colours.

Harmony Day at St John's was a celebration of the diverse nationalities of the students, showcasing how we can be one community. Many students participated in a parade. They walked like models in the fashion show while dressed in their exquisite traditional attire. There were fantastic dances, such as the Indian Tamil and Samoan dances. Our school's diverse student body exposes us to a broader range of cultures and religions, which helps us become more empathetic individuals.

We have just had the House athletics carnival. The students had a fantastic day representing their houses at several events. Well done to everyone who took part in the events.

Yesterday, we celebrated Founder's Day, and it was a joy to watch our students perform, dance, sing, play games, and come together to honour the founding of St John's.

Hey everyone,

What an incredible talent quest we had!

The performances were outstanding, and seeing so many students sharing their unique talents was amazing. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, whether you were on stage, backstage, or in the audience cheering on your friends. Congratulations to all the winners, and a special shout-out to those who have organised the event behind the scenes and made it such a success. Your hard work and dedication truly paid off.

Let's carry this spirit of creativity and support throughout the rest of the year and hopefully see even more performances next year.
