Year 10 Outdoor Ed Camp
Late last Term, our Year 10 Outdoor Ed students embarked on an exciting Outdoor Education Camp that combined adventure with valuable life lessons. Set in Point Leo and the surrounding Western Port Bay, the camp provided a unique opportunity for students to engage in experiential learning outside the classroom. Students participated in a learn to surf lesson, kayaking, snorkelling, beachcombing and a bike ride from Arthur's Seat to Point Leo. We are proud of our students' enthusiasm and resilience and thank the staff, Mr Boswell, Mr Adkin and Ms Davis, for their dedication and support.
Year 10 Karate
Over the past six weeks, our Year 10 students have been participating in Karate lessons on Wednesday afternoons as part of our practical curriculum.
The sessions focused on personal well-being and confidence, as well as developing lifelong skills to enable them to cope with the demands of an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world.
Year 7 Swimming
The Year 7 swimming program commences on Friday, 16 May and runs each Friday for 5 weeks.
The swimming program aims to develop essential water safety skills, build confidence, and promote physical fitness. The sessions are held at Splash's Swim Centre, and the lessons are tailored to each student's swimming ability, from beginners to more advanced swimmers.
Students will engage in various activities, including stroke development, survival swimming techniques, and water safety scenarios. Develop lifelong skills in a safe environment.
Years 8 and 9
Later this Term, Year 9s will commence a four-week unit in Wheelchair Basketball run by Basketball Victoria, and in Term 3, all Year 8 students will participate in a five-week Self-Defence unit as part of our HPE programs.
