Year 11 Visual Art Excursion

During Week 6, Year 11 general Visual Art students participated in an excursion to a number of locations as part of their current unit of work, “Art as Code”. The first stop was Logan Art Gallery, where they viewed three exhibitions,  “It’s a small world”, art by Tegan Geange, “ Where do I belong? ” a collection of works by 13 contemporary artists and “Inhabited: Anthromes of Queensland”, by artist, LeAnne Vincent. The gallery visit was followed by a stop at Reverse Garbage in Woolloongabba,  Queensland's only eco arts and reuse centre, specialising in the collection of clean industrial discards. Students had the opportunity to obtain alternative and salvaged materials for their current practical work.
