3-6 Division Athletics

We had 30 students represent Brookside at The Caroline Springs District athletics Carnival at Melton athletics track. We had many superstars on the day, having students compete in almost every event. 

It was a successful day with 3 first places, 3 seconds and 3 thirds, with High Jump and Relays being the most successful events. 

Overall, we have 13 students make it through to the next round on the 8th September where we compete against other schools in the Keilor Division, we look forward to seeing our school in action again and we encourage parents/guardians to come along and support our students. 

Year 6 Girls Division Hockey Finals

On Monday 24th August, the year 6 Girls Hockey team attended the division finals and represented Caroline Springs district. They competed against Wembley Primary school, Newport Primary school and Bacchus Marsh Grammer. The girls tried their best in the sunny conditions and managed to score multiple times against some tough competition.

 School Sport Victoria Representatives

Both A’roa Papatua & Raymond Satoa were selected in the School Sports U12 Victoria Rugby League Team. A’roa & Raymond travelled to Queensland and competed against the best young players from New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT, proudly representing Victoria on the national stage. They placed 3rd and were awarded with a bronze medal. A’roa was also awarded with the sportsmanship award for Team VIC.

 Congratulations on such a high achievement. 

7-9 Interschool Sport

This year we saw a change that put us into the Keilor Division. This means we are playing different schools and new competition. This new division run things a little different, where sports are held over many different days for different year levels. Students could now pick more than one sport per team, and trials saw more students in attendance. We have had various teams across futsal, soccer, table tennis, badminton, basketball, netball & volleyball. 

On Tuesday 25th August, our year 7 girls Basketball team took out 1st place and are through to the Western Metropolitan Finals. 

Well done to all the students who have represented Brookside with Pride and put in the effort to train and be present for their teammates.
