Student Wellbeing

Wellbeing Dog Trial

On Friday 10 November, a wellbeing dog made a visit to Shelford to help support student wellbeing during the exam period. Lucy, a 9-year-old Rough Collie and her owner Ms Park, were onsite so Years 10, 11 or 12 students could drop by for a pat and ease their nerves either before or after their exam. This initiative follows a trend by Australian universities to use animals to address wellbeing during the time of exams. Lucy's visit supported our students and helped them to clear their minds so that they were able to focus on their exams.

Presentation Evening

It was wonderful to celebrate the 2023 academic year at Presentation Evening this week. It was a night filled with joy, camaraderie, and a celebration of our school spirit. The event showcased the incredible talents of our students, with captivating performances ranging from musical acts to drama routines and video presentations.

One of the highlights of the night was the recognition of our students' outstanding achievements. We celebrated the accomplishments of our students in academics, sport, music, leadership and school spirit. It was a moment to applaud their hard work and determination and to recognise all that they have given to the Shelford community. Congratulations again to our award winners below:
