Mini Vinnies Brainstorming Warm Hearts for the Winter Appeal
Our Mini Vinnies team met recently to discuss how St Patrick’s can wrap its arms around the community for the annual St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. With the colder months officially here, our student leaders have been buzzing with enthusiasm, brainstorming a fantastic line-up of creative fundraising ideas to support families in need.
The team has looked at a range of exciting initiatives that could take place either later this term or heading into Term 3. Some of the wonderful suggestions put forward by the students include:
- An Afternoon at the Movies: Transforming a classroom into a cozy cinema for a fun movie screening.
- Winter Uniform Mittens: Organising special school mittens as part of our winter uniform to keep hands warm while raising funds.
- School Fidgets: Introducing fun, school-approved fidget items for students to purchase.
- Mufti Day (Team Colours): A chance to swap the school uniform for a day to proudly wear your favourite sporting team's colours.
- Role Model Dress-Up Day: Coming to school dressed as someone who inspires us.
- The House Challenge Day: Re-establishing our highly anticipated 'House Challenge Day' filled with friendly, competitive fun.
- School Talent Quest: Showcasing the incredible, diverse talents of our student body in the very near future!
The Mini Vinnies team is currently finalising which of these events will roll out first. We look forward to sharing the official calendar of events soon and thank our community in advance for your outstanding generosity in supporting the Winter Appeal.
