Welcome back to Term 3!

This term we have some exciting new initiatives happening at Sacred Heart in the area of Wellbeing. Each class has a reward jar that will be kept in the office area to collect tokens. Tokens can be given out by staff and even parents for students and whole classes. When 30 tokens have been received by a class they will receive a whole class reward! Each class has created a list of some rewards they'd like...for example some classes chose time to teach their teacher something, extra play, visits to the park or the Preston library and much more!

Each class has discussed what they may do to earn tokens and some of these examples are; following the school's expected behaviours, treating others with kindness and respect, lining up and being ready when the bell goes after recess are just some! This initiave has come about to recognise all the positive actions that happen at Sacred Heart every day. We hope it will encourage great decisions to be made and allow everyone at Sacred Heart feel they are connected, safe, happy and ready to learn so everyone can flourish!

Year 3/4T & AL - Respect, Year 5/6M - Teamwork,

Year 5/6J - Respect

COUNSELLOR

We have an additional counsellor commencing at Sacred Heart in Term 3 on Thursdays.

Working with a counsellor could help students develop lifelong skills such as managing anxiety, regulating anger, building resilience or navigating social challenges.

Areas such as supporting with strategies during family separations or grief and loss.

Counsellors frequently use play therapy, art, and storytelling to help students communicate and explore feelings.

Please get in touch if you'd like to know more or have a chat about counselling for your child in Term 3.

Lunchtime Clubs

We have some new lunchtime clubs happening this term - a number were suggested by students which is truly student voice in action! The new Chess Club was VERY popular and also the Craft and Slime club was a hit too along with our regular clubs.
