Principal News

Dear Sacred Heart Community,

Welcome back to Term 3!

I hope everyone enjoyed a restful and refreshing break.

We are excited to begin another wonderful term of learning, where our students will continue to grow, challenge themselves and embrace new opportunities. Alongside the rich learning taking place in our classrooms, we also look forward to sharing many special events with our school families, including our much anticipated Art Show and a variety of Parents & Friends events that bring us together in celebration, connection and fun.

We look forward to another rewarding and memorable term at Sacred Heart, filled with learning, friendship and opportunities for every child to flourish.

Lord of Life,

Today we ask for the grace to recognise and protect the unique and unrepeatable value of every human being.

May we learn to welcome life unconditionally, to care tenderly for those who are vulnerable, to accompany each person with respect at every stage of life, and to courageously defend those who have no voice.

May our Sacred Heart community always be a place where every person feels welcomed, valued, loved and safe.

Amen.

Come for a Cuppa After 10:30am Mass

This Sunday, 19 July, please join us after the 10:30am Mass for a cuppa, a chat and a chance to connect with fellow Sacred Heart families at Sacred Heart School.

All are warmly welcome. ☕☕☕

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)

Each year, all Australian schools participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD). The NCCD collects information about students who receive adjustments to support their participation and learning at school.

The information collected helps schools, education authorities and governments better understand the needs of students and ensure they receive appropriate support.

Foundation (Prep) 2027 Enrolments

A sincere thank you to the families who have already enrolled siblings. We are delighted to continue welcoming your family into our Sacred Heart school community.

As part of our commitment to building strong connections with local early learning services, we are excited to share that we now have large Sacred Heart banners proudly displayed at Goodstart Early Learning Preston. Goodstart regularly visits Sacred Heart as part of their Transition to School Program, where their children enjoy exploring our learning spaces, playing in our school grounds and becoming familiar with school life. We sincerely thank the team at Goodstart Preston for their ongoing support and generosity in displaying our banner.

We also continue to enjoy our wonderful partnership with Nino Early Learning Adventures Preston. Their three and four year old children regularly visit Sacred Heart for play experiences and to become familiar with our school, helping to make the transition to school a positive and exciting one.

Marty and I recently visited a number of local kindergartens and early learning centres to introduce ourselves, deliver our 2027 enrolment posters and share some chocolates with their wonderful educators. These partnerships are invaluable in helping families learn more about Sacred Heart and all that we have to offer.

If you know of a local kindergarten or early learning service that we could connect with, we would love to hear from you. Marty and I will also be attending several Kindergarten Transition to School Information Evenings throughout this term and look forward to meeting many prospective families.

As always, we encourage our current families to continue sharing what makes Sacred Heart such a welcoming, nurturing and vibrant place to learn. Personal recommendations are one of the most powerful ways families discover our school.

If you know a family looking for a Foundation (Prep) place in 2027, we warmly invite them to contact the school to arrange a personal tour or submit an enrolment application. We would love to welcome them to Sacred Heart.
