Deputy Principal

Dear Sacred Heart Community,

Welcome back to Term 3, which we hope and pray will be a smoother, more settled term. Term 2 presented many challenges, with staff and family illnesses and bereavements. Term 3 began with a planned healing ceremony, involving smoke and a Welcome to Country by Uncle Colin Hunter. For many cultures, smoke is seen as a cleansing and healing element and the idea came from our Wellbeing Leader, Kate. Unfortunately Uncle Colin was unable to join us due to illness, but a new date has been secured...Thursday, 30th July @ 11am.  Again you are all welcome to join us for this very special occasion.

Sacred Heart's Garden Club

When we returned to school we ran straight to the garden to see how much our veggies had grown over the holidays. The BOK CHOYs were about to flower and were ready to be eaten. We harvested the bok choy, added and few more ingredients (spring onion, dried noodle, slivered almonds, vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, olive and sesame oil) and ...VIOLA! Our very own Bok Choy Noodle Salad! And the thoughts of those who attended...D E L I C I O U S !

Have a great week ahead everyone!
