Our Place Northern Bay
Who Are We? – Meet the Our Place Northern Bay Team
Our Place Northern Bay is here to support children and families in the Corio community by helping connect you with local services, programs, and opportunities . We work in partnership with Northern Bay College and the City of Greater Geelong early years services.
Our team is based at the Korayn Birralee Family Centre, right at the front of the Wexford Campus. At the family centre , there is a variety of free and inclusive programs to support children and families.
What’s On at Korayn Birralee Family Centre?
Here are just some of the regular programs and services available:
- Playgroups (Tues, Thurs & Fri) – Facilitated by Meli, these sessions offer fun, learning, and connection for children and parents.
- FREE Toy Library – Open during playgroup sessions for families to borrow educational toys and books.
- StoryTime – A fun and interactive reading session for preschoolers every Thursday.
- Give it a Go – A friendly group where parents and carers try out a new activity each week.
- Carer’s Connect – A peer support group for kinship and out-of-home carers, supported by the school wellbeing team.
- Meli Individual Support – Drop-in support from a qualified practitioner for parenting advice and referrals to other services.
- Barwon Community Legal Service – Available every Tuesday morning to assist with legal issues including family law, fines, Centrelink, tenancy, and more.
- MyTime: Facilitated peer support group for parents/carers who had a child with a disability of chronic illness.
