Junior School News
Whilst 2024 is closing in on us at a rapid pace, a lot of preparation has already taken place to ensure a smooth start to 2025. All Year 7 & 8 students have completed their 2024 subject selections and will receive their online booklists and important information concerning classes for next year in the next month.
Well done to all students on the great start to Term 4 already.
School Production – Matilda Jnr
On behalf of the Junior School we would like to congratulate the cast and crew of this year’s school production "Matilda Jr" for all their amazing efforts at the end of Term 3 to put on fantastic shows for the school community. It was an incredible show and we are very proud of all the students and staff for their resilience, dedication, commitment and perseverance in putting on an outstanding show!!! Congratulations all.
Term 4 Impact classes
So far in the first two weeks of Term 4, both Year 7 and 8 cohorts have enjoyed their Impact Classes. Our Year 8s had a presentation on Financial Literacy – Saving and Spending and our Year 7s enjoyed their first CLUBS session, working on respectful relationships and safer socialising. We also have Latrobe University students coming onsite in coming weeks to speak to all of our Year 7 students as a cohort and to work with our Year 8 students later this term in their respective classes.
Year 7 and Year 8 Impact classes have continued to be based on respectful relationships, goal setting, zones of regulation and clubs this term.
Junior Sport
Recently, Sonali Reniguntala in Year 8 competed in the State School Victorian Athletics Championship at Lakeside, Albert Park. A huge congratulations to Sonali who won gold in the 14 Girls Discus and bronze in the 14 Girls Javelin. See our school facebook post for pictures on Sonali.
Congratulations to all students who have been selected to represent the school in the upcoming Futsal soccer tournaments. Students have been training hard and are eagerly looking forward to playing against other schools.
