'to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation means to be wrapped in a warm embrace.'

Pope Francis

These words from Pope Francis truly sum up the experience of the Sacrament of Reconciliation that we want for our children.

Families of those students wishing to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation gathered on Tuesday evening to not only learn about the Sacrament, but also to come to understand how it has changed over time. There was an opportunity to explore the scripture of the Prodigal Son, making connections to both the sacrament and their own lives.

Reconcilation is the first sacrament that children receive within the school and parish community, where they are able to acknowledge their wrongdoings before God and the Church. They express their sorrow in a meaningful way, receive forgiveness and resolve to do better in the future.

Please keep these students in your prayers as they prepare to receive this sacrament on the 19th March.
