Learning Diversity

 Stefanie McNeil

(Learning Diversity Leader )

Each year, our school participates in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) on School Students with Disability . This is a nationwide process that ensures schools across Australia are identifying and supporting students with disability in a consistent way.

The NCCD process helps us to:

  • Better understand the needs of our students
  • Ensure appropriate supports and adjustments are in place
  • Understand the level of support needed
  • Ensure consistency across the school in the way we collect and report data
  • Help school pan better support

The information collected reflects the support and adjustments already provided as part of our everyday teaching and learning practices.

We are committed to maintaining open and ongoing communication with families. If your child currently receives adjustments, you will continue to be consulted as part of our regular support and review processes. Working in partnership ensures that the strategies in place are meaningful, appropriate, and responsive to your child’s needs.

Early conversations make a big difference. If you have any concerns - big or small - please reach out to your child’s teacher or the learning diversity leader.

Please see below some information from the NCCD Website for Parents, Guardians and Carers. There is one in English and Arabic.
