Allied Health

Important update for families – new Department process for Allied Health and tutors working within schools.
FORMS MUST BE COMPLETE PRIOR TO WEEK 8 if your child currently has or wishes to have Allied Health or tutoring within school hours during Term Two.
The Department of Education has introduced a new process for any Allied Health professionals and tutors who provide support to students during the school day.
To meet these requirements, a request form must now be completed before therapy can take place at school.
The request form asks the therapist to provide:
- the purpose of the proposed therapy
- the proposed date and time the therapy will be delivered
- the proposed duration and frequency of the therapy
- the aims and benefits of the therapy being delivered at school and during school time
- proof of a current Working with Children Check
- professional registration details
copies of certificates of currency for insurances held by the therapist
Families are encouraged to work closely with their child’s therapist to complete the form, clearly outlining the student’s individual circumstances and the reasons the family is requesting therapy to occur at school and during school time.
Thank you to the families who have already completed these forms.
*** If your child is currently receiving Allied Health support at school and you have not yet completed this paperwork, please email lilly.vandyk@education.vic.gov.au to request the required forms.
