Plant & Produce Market : Friday 20 March - (from 3:30 pm)

For new families at BNWPS, our Plant & Produce Market is one of our favourite little community events — a mini market run by our school families, for our school community.

Families donate home-grown plants, seedlings, herbs, fruit, vegetables, baked treats, preserves and other goodies, which are then sold after school as a fundraiser for BNWPS. Every dollar raised goes back into supporting the school.

The market takes place in the undercover area, opening 3:30 pm sharp and running until items sell out — and they often go quickly!

There are two main ways families can help make the market happen:

1. Donate items to sell

If you have extra seedlings, herbs, garden produce, baked goods, preserves, crafts or similar items, we’d love to include them in the market. Donations can be dropped at the school office during the day, or brought directly to the undercover area from 2:30pm.

2. Help run the event

Each Plant & Produce Market is supported by a roster of parent helpers (usually from a specific grade level, but all families are welcome to help). Help might include:

  • Set-up from 2:30pm (tables, displays, cash box, EFTPOS etc.)
  • Selling items and handling purchases
  • Pack-down after the market, usually finishing no later than 4:30pm
  •

Kids love being part of the fun too — it’s a great opportunity for them to choose a small treat or plant to take home. Most items cost around $3–$5, so sending them along with a few gold coins works well (card payments are also available).

Please note: the Community Events Team (CET) and Spring Magic Market (SMM) teams are separate.

(Families are very welcome to be involved in both teams.)
