Meet the Grade 2 Team

Hi, I’m Lori, and I’m the Grade Two Team Leader this year.

I’ve been at BNWPS for quite a long time, back when the whole school could fit into one of the double classrooms upstairs for assembly, wow! 

Outside of school, I enjoy making art, going for bushwalks, andvisiting galleries. I’m excited to be working with a fantastic team of teachers in the Grade Two level this year!

Shalani Marasinghe (Monday-Wednesday) shalani.marasinghe@education.vic.gov.au

Hi, I’m Shalani and I’m one of the two teachers in JSR this year. I’ve been teaching at BNWPS since 2013, and many of those years have been in Junior Teams. 

I am kept busy outside of school hours by my two young children,but when I have time, I love to read, travel to new places, have uninterrupted conversations with my friends, and dance to good music!

I look forward to meeting Grade 2 families and working together to help my students!

Bev Andrews JBA (Monday-Friday)

Hi, I’m Bev. I have been a member of our school community for a long time, first as a parent, then OSHC educator, and now classroom teacher.

This is my fifth year teaching Juniors at BNWPS. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my three children, camping, hiking, and having picnics. I also love bike riding andspending time reading in my garden.

I look forward to a wonderful year of learning together with JBAstudents, families, and carers!

Bec Ewer JSR(Thursday-Friday)

I’m Bec, one half of JSR, and this year marks my 16th at BNWPS —long enough to call it home.

I’m a proud book nerd, but maths is my sweet spot. I love teaching problem-solving and watching kids realise they can do hard things.

I’m also known for my unusual sayings, so don’t be surprised if a few Bec-isms start popping up at home.
