P & C

RECENT EVENTS
Over the past two weeks, the P&C has been working at full speed on a number of upcoming events. Recently, Emily in the canteen, supported by a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers, prepared a delicious spread of international dishes as a special treat for our children in celebration of Harmony Day, generating over $1200 in sales.
The P&C Executive is now busy putting the final touches and last-minute arrangements in place for our Easter event, being celebrated this week. In addition, planning meetings have been held to get the ball rolling for our Mother’s Day event in Term 2.
Something that wasn’t mentioned in the last edition of the newsletter was the success of the Second Hand Uniform Shop, which raised over $550 in sales.
As always, none of these events would be possible without the generosity and support of our families. Whether you’ve been able to help a little or a lot, we sincerely thank you.

MOTHER’S DAY
Thursday 7 May, just ahead of the very special day when we celebrate our mums and the other important women in our lives, is when we will be holding our school Mother’s Day celebration.
We warmly invite students and their mums, along with other special women in their lives, to join us for a complimentary breakfast treat and a warm beverage before heading off to work or starting the day.
For gifts this year, we will be moving away from the traditional Mother’s Day stall. Instead, students will be invited to the hall to handmake a special pre-purchased gift. There will also be a selection of pre-made gifts available for purchase (ahead of time) for those who may wish to buy for grandmothers, aunties or stepmums also as there will not be enough time to make more than 1 gift on the day.
Once the dust has settled from our whirlwind Easter event, we will open up purchasing on Qkr! and provide further details about our Mother’s Day activities via the Whatsapp community chat and pushed out via the school on School Bytes during the school term.
We are also looking for wonderful volunteers who would be willing to offer their time on Thursday 7 May and/or in the lead-up to the event.
Please follow the signup link below to pencil yourself in for some time to support this event https://signup.com/go/UwyNFHy
HAVE YOUR SAY – SURVEY RESULTS
To help us plan future activities, we recently conducted a short community survey. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to participate.
The survey closed on Monday 23 March. While we had hoped to share the results at yesterday’s P&C meeting, we underestimated the volume of responses. As a result, we will need a little more time to fully analyse the feedback before sharing it with the community.
We appreciate your patience and would like to thank the 52 respondents, around 50 percent of whom are current P&C members, who took the time to complete the survey. Your input has already proven incredibly insightful and we greatly value your thoughtful feedback.
MEETING REMINDER
- Date: Monday 27 April at 7:30pm
- Location: School library.
All families are welcome to attend and hear about what is happening in our school community.
Want to have your vote count? Don’t forget to become a P&C member for just 50c via Qkr! Please note that voting rights take effect at the close of the next meeting after joining.
We would love to see you there!
