SAINTS BOARDING

News from Brett Toombs

Director of Boarding

Boarding Christmas Dinner

The boarding community celebrated a traditional Christmas dinner this week. We were joined by our Brothers community and staff from both St Augustine’s and St Monica’s. As usual with any catering function, Tolle’s put on an amazing meal, and we were even joined by Santa. Our Christmas meal is always a nice way to end the boarding year, as it is a terrific opportunity for the boarders to sit down together and have one final meal, before leaving to be with their families over the break.

Junior Spirit Awards

Congratulations to our junior boarders who, after last Sunday night's Mass, were awarded the Spirit of Ambrose and Spirit of Burke awards for their respective residences. Both awards have a long and proud tradition. They're presented each year to a boarder from each residence who best embodies the qualities and values held in the highest esteem within their house. The recipients for 2025 are: Spirit of Ambrose - Mikayla Pearce and Spirit of Burke - Jack Tapim.

Saturday outings

Boarders took part in two very enjoyable Saturday outings to close off the year. On the free weekend they visited Sugarland Water Park, followed by a final outing to Etty Bay last weekend. With the tremendous weather, boarders enjoyed the water activities and being able to relax with friends before starting holidays.
